Transition to offense - half court

This drill gets players moving the ball quickly, passing and cutting, and a short offence to finish off to the hoop. It can also be slightly modified as a end ball offence.

3 man fast break

Basically it’s a way to practice being chased, high speed layups, and full court sprinting.

Fast Break

Improves fast breaks and is fun for all the players.

Laker Drill

Line players up in three lines on the baseline. Space them out so that there\‘s a line in the middle and on both three point lines. While running forward, the player in the middle passes the ball to the left. The recipient then passes the ball back. By this time you are near half court and the player left should be around the elbow. The middle player passes to the player left and this person goes in for the right-handed lay-up. Then the middle man rebounds and the drill begins again by bringing the ball back and ending with a lay-up on the right side.

30 in 3

This drill is almost the same as a 3 man weave but it puts more pressure on executing lay-ups and making good passes.

11 man

Great for warming up before practice and helps making decisions on the fastbreak.
