Passing Square

Team splits up into four groups in four corners. One ball is given to one group.At start, going clockwise, ball is passed to first person in next group. Passer follows pass to back that group. When coach yells switch ball reverses counterclockwise.

Instructions

Start slowly until kids get rhythem of passing and moving to new line. Eventually have the kids move, so passers have to hit moving target

Variations

  • Bounce vs chest passes
  • Add more balls (see if they can get four going clockwise and counterclockwise)
  • Spread out square, so passes are longer.

Tips

Make the pass catcher call out the passers name. Gets team learning voices of teammates.
